Hello everyone! I wanted to show you how I finished The Moon's Mistress. It looks like I used the cord finish, but I actually made my monk's cloth into my "cord".
This is what it looks like off the frame. I've already done the zig-zag stitch around it with my sewing machine. You can also use a serger, or fray prevention glue. Now I'm going to cut all the way around leaving 2 inches of monk's cloth.
Now, just roll your monk's cloth and stitch in place. I roll a little ahead and use a pin to hold it in place while I stitch. You could do this and your edging at the same time, but I prefer doing them separately.
Just keep going all the way around until your finished, then cut out your wool backing. I cover my whole back in wool, and roll it up over the sides.
Just start rolling it up and stitching in place, cover your "cording".
Just continue to do so all the way around.
This is what the back of your piece looks like.
This is what your edging will look like completely finished! You will find a link to The Moon's Mistress in my shops below. If you have any questions or need anything else, please let me know. Thanks for dropping by!
